Shauwn "MaMkhize" Mkhize, the prominent South African businesswoman and media personality, has recently announced the launch of a new business venture. This move comes in the wake of significant financial challenges, including asset seizures by the South African Revenue Service (SARS) and the sale of her football club, Royal AM.
In July 2025, an online auction of luxury vehicles owned by Mkhize attracted bids totaling over R8 million. These vehicles, including a Bentley Continental GTC and a team tour bus, were seized by SARS to recover unpaid taxes amounting to approximately R37 million. The auction was conducted under the instruction of a court-appointed curator .
Additionally, in February 2025, SARS finalized a deal to sell Royal AM Football Club, which had been placed under curatorship due to the owner's financial obligations. The sale aimed to recover part of the R40 million tax debt owed by Mkhize .
Despite these setbacks, Mkhize remains active in the business world. In July 2025, she was unveiled as the new club president of Mbabane Highlanders, a football club in Eswatini, rebranded as Mbabane Highlanders AM
